Big brother Cris inspired some old fashioned recreating this weekend. On Saturday, with Big Cousin Tim at the helm of the Pineview boat and Aunt Jan, Opa and Mom coaching, Cris learned to waterski! He was up on the third try and by all accounts had one of the best first runs ever. By the end of the day he was cutting in and out of the wake like and old pro and was begging for another run. Opa has promised to get his waterskis fixed so Katie's dream of running away to join the Tommy Bartlett Waterski show may live on in another generation.

Yeah I guess I should have actually read the link to the Tommy Bartlett show. The link says the stage show is going on, but the waterski show is off. We'll have to lobby the Corps of Engineers to rebuild the lake while Cris is honing his waterskiing abilities.
